LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR THE MASTERS IN ARCHITECTURE

To Whom it May Concern,

I am very pleased to be writing a letter of support for Nan Cao for her forthcoming Masters Application.

I have had the great honour to teach Nan Cao for her 2nd Year Design Studio at the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia for Semester 1, 2015.

Over the 14 weeks of Design studio for Semester 1, I found Nan’s enthusiasm and passion for design infectious and heartening for the entire studio. She is a very sensitive designer, inventive and also has a fresh approach to architecture.

Nan’s creativity and passion for Architecture is beyond exceptional.  

Nan also was a great supporter of an internship that I ran for 4 weeks over the winter break for several small projects including an article for e-magazine, which was due on the same day as her Birthday. Nan was the first to the studio that morning and continued to write for the Magazine deadline, we celebrated her birthday by masking out the Sculptures By the Sea site at 1:1 in the forecourt of the UNSW Faculty of Built Environment, and the team wrote 'Happy Birthday Nan' in Masking tape. We submitted the Magazine Article that same day 40,000 copies published, with Happy Birthday Nan!! at the bottom of the article.    

Nan has a great gift for intelligence combined with artistry.
